LARKANA, Oct 6: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Larkana, on Monday announced results of examinations of Higher Secondary School Certificate-II (class XII) of humanities group.

As many as 2,341 candidates had appeared in the annual examinations of which 639 were declared unsuccessful and 1,706 successful. The result of 10 candidates was withheld on the charge of using unfair means in the examinations.

None of the candidates secured A-1 or A grade and the boys outshone the girls in the results. Thirty four candidates secured B grade, 621 C grade, 994 D grade and 57 grabbed E grade.

Among the boys, Nadeem Ali Jokhyo, seat no-83,307, Government Degree College, Naudero, obtained 744 marks and secured first position. Amir Ali Jatoi, seat-80,031 of C and S Government Degree College, Shikarpur, got 740 marks and secured second position and Khalid Akhtar Kalhoro, seat- 78,403, Government Degree College, Naudero, obtained 727 marks and secured third position.

Among the girls, Saira Iram Rajput, seat no-81,481, Wapda College, Guddu, obtained 758 marks and stood first. Nadia Khatoon Siddiki, seat-87,887, Government Higher Secondary School, Sita Road, obtained 729 marks and stood second and Rani Bano Arain, seat-80,137, Government Girls College, Shikarpur, got 690 marks of and stood third.
