Perfect Smile and Lady’s Love should triumph
KARACHI, Oct 4: Form horses should have upper hand at the Karachi Summer Gymkhana races which will be held today (Sunday). The first race will begin at 1 pm.
The stable of Shah Mardan Shah II Pir Pagaro VII and Mr Faisal Farooq have some form horses who should see the stable colours pass the winning post atleast twice.
Pir Pagara’s stable has taken a wise step of a entering only one horse in the seventh and eight race. Last time the stable had entered two horses in the main events which created lot of confusion and brought bad name to the stable.
Now Love U Lady who is engaged in the seventh race has only Sardar to beat as other form horses like Visitor and Khasul Khas on handicap stand no chance to offer.
Likewise Lady’s Love who will be carrying just 7-11 on her back will simply walk away with top honours in the concluding event of the day as Gambling Girl, Charkh Bareen, Keen Winner and Al Aashia will find it hard to challenge.
The stable of Mr Faisal Farooq has two outstanding entries in Saligna in the fifth race and Perfect Smile in the sixth race.
Saligna has to beat just Your Honour who despite his two successive wins has somehow not impressed me whereas Saligna’s last run behind stable mate, Perfect Smile was too good to be ignored.
Though Your Honour may be the public fancy I would like Saligna to have no difficulty in beating Your Honour who has been over rated by the connections and the race goers.
Perfect Smile in her maiden outing had won convincingly showing lot of maturity therefore should win for mere asking. Sherganzer, Dur-e-Yemen, Ranjha and Snake Eyed should measure their strength for less remunerative berths.
In the first race Knight Gambler, Royal Beauty, Trust You and Sajan Black are the pick. Knight Gambler who has won in better company should have edge over Trust You while Lovely Concept if backed by the connections will simply hack the field.
Grey Boy, Nawab, Sonia, Your Opinion and Ceaser’s Palace are the chance horse in the second race. Your Opinion won a comfortable race on Wednesday. On that run I would like him to make it two in a row unless Ceaser’s Palace comes out with his best foot forward to upset my calculations.
Sweet Grandly, Pehalwan Choice and Fantastic Fighter are the chance horses in the third race. Royal Lancer though has failed to figure on the board in his last two runs should have the better of Pehalwan Choice the real form horse who may find the company rather tough.
In the fourth race Miss Oozi, Order Of The Day, Join The Millennium, Sapno Ki Rani and Raj Kumar catch the eye. Sapno Ki Rani on Wednesday was installed half — money favourite by the connections and after rebating it could be had at four to one.
If the mare was that good that it could win on Wednesday why she should not have similar support today and in fact if she is backed by the connections will take a lot of beating.
Join The Millennium did not win a very convincing race last time out therefore may find it hard to even humble Order Of The Day who should not run out of frame.
