Jamali opens visa printing system

WASHINGTON, Oct 4: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali inaugurated the computerized visa printing system here at Pakistan’s recently-constructed chancery.

Mr Jamali inaugurated the system when he visited the chancery Friday night before attending a dinner hosted in his honour by Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States Ashraf Jehangir Qazi.

He pushed a button to issue the first visa using the new technology.

The prime minister urged the officials of the embassy to provide best possible services to the people seeking help from the embassy.

Ambassador Qazi informed the prime minister that with the help of latest technology, visas would be issued within a few minutes.

The prime minister appreciated the modern and spacious building of the chancery and went around its various sections.

He also recorded his comments in the visitor’s book.—APP
