LAHORE, Oct 4: Hundreds of Wapda workers took out on Saturday a procession to protest against the manhandling of two colleagues outside the court of a civil judge here on Friday.
The procession was taken out from the Bakhtiar Labour Hall on Nisbet Road on the call of the Pakistan Wapda Hydro-Electric Central Workers Union.
The workers reached the Lahore Press Club after marching on Nisbet Road and Abbot Road. They were carrying banners and placards on which they had written the demand for the arrest of those responsible for beating a junior engineer and a meter inspector who were present outside the civil court for the recording evidence in a case.
