KARACHI, Oct 4: A women’s handicrafts Mela, organized by the city government, has opened at the Gulshan-i-Iqbal Women Sports Complex. Adorned with handicraft items made by women, 50 stalls are set up at the mela. It will continue till Oct 6.
Inaugurating the Mela, former law minister Shahida Jameel said Pakistani women had excellent skills and their handicrafts could capture a big share of the world market.
She urged women to pay special attention to the quality of their products, saying that it was an era of competition. — PPI
