Qazi terms LFO danger to country

Published October 3, 2003

NOWSHERA, Oct 2: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal vice-president Qazi Hussain Ahmad has termed the Legal Framework Order (LFO) a potential danger to the integrity of the country and said the LFO hindered implementation of Shariat in the country.

Speaking at various public gatherings here on Thursday, Qazi Hussain Ahmad explained that the MMA was opposing the LFO because it was a hurdle in the restoration of the Constitution, democratic institutions and supremacy of parliament in the country.

At present, he said, four parallel governments were working in the country, that included the Musharraf government, the US government which dictated its policies to Gen Musharraf, the central government led by Prime Minister Jamali and the district governments.

These four governments had no programme other than creating more lawlessness and safeguarding their vested interests, he alleged.
