QUETTA, Sept 29: Pakistan Railways, Lahore Color, Quetta Whites and Sukkur reached the semifinals of the 20th national women hockey championship after wining their quarterfinals on Sunday.

Railways will face Sukkur while Lahore Colour will face Quetta Whites in the semifinals to be played on Tuesday.

Earlier on Sunday defending champions Pakistan Railways proved too strong for Karachi Color and won 9-0.

Azra Nasir, Sana Javed (2), Ayshia Mughal (2) Qadir (2) Sabiha and Saima Afzal were the scorers for Railways.

Quetta White earned a place in the semifinals with 3-2 win over Faisalabad in the penalty shootout after the teams ended scoreless in the stipulated time.

Sughara, Nargis and Razia scored for Quetta while Samira and Sana were on target for Faisalabad.

Sukkur booked their berth in the last outclassing Karcahi White 6-0 with Sanam (3), Zakia (2) and Noorul Ain getting the goals.

Lahore Color completed semifinal lineup beating Quetta Color 1-0 with right out Beenish slamming home the decisive goal in the 59th minute of the second half.
