Security arrangements reviewed

LAHORE, Sept 29: The Punjab police in a meeting late on Monday night reviewed security arrangements during South African team’s visit to the province.

Punjab IGP Masud Shah chaired the meeting and he was given a briefing by police security wing heads and that of the Punjab police special branch.

The meeting was told that elaborate arrangements had been made for the security of the team.

Policemen in plains and uniforms have been deployed at all the venues to be visited by the team and the places where its members will stay. Special squads would guard the team in all of its movements.

The IGP told the meeting that he would personally check the security measures by visiting all places and the stadium during and after match.
