KOHAT: Bid to smuggle cattle foiled

KOHAT, Sept 28: The Lachi town police on Sunday seized 12 trucks carrying cattle, which were allegedly being smuggled to Afghanistan, and arrested the drivers.

The police during routine checking on the Indus Highway near Fauji Foundation Hospital, Lachi, seized 133 cows being transported in 12 trucks. The animals were allegedly being smuggled to Afghanistan via the tribal area of North Waziristan Agency.— Correspondent
