KARACHI, Sept 28: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has said that movement is an action which creates energy and its use in the right direction helps nations to reach at the apex and become superpowers, but the nations which fail to use their energy in the right direction, are destined to be doomed.

Mr Hussain said this during his telephonic speech at the reception hosted at the Jinnah Ground on Saturday night for the party workers, in recognition of their services for organizing different events related to his Golden Jubilee celebrations.

The MQM chief said that the use of energy in the right or wrong direction depended on the mental faculty, adding that if the thinking was positive and clear, the use of energy would be in the right direction.

Mr Hussain advised the party workers to keep themselves away from negative thinking as they could reach their destination by pursuing the right direction only.

He warned the elements trying to harm the MQM under the patronage of establishment and state agencies, saying that by exercising state power they could eliminate human beings but not the ideology.

Mr Hussain asked the party workers to continue their struggle with dedication and courage, and with the belief that their sacrifices, blood of martyrs and disappearance of their comrades would bear fruit soon.

BALOCH JOINS MQM: A former Sindh local bodies’ minister K S Mujahid Khan Baloch on Sunday joined Muttahida Qaumi Movement along with his supporters at the Nine Zero.

Expressing his allegiance to the ideals of party chief Altaf Hussain, Mr Baloch said that he had already resigned from the membership of the PML(Q).

Mr Baloch, who had left the Pakistan Peoples Party after developing differences over the Movement for Restoration of Democracy and later became a minister in Mohammed Khan Junejo’s tenure as prime minister, switched over to the PML(Q).

He joined the MQM in the presence of its adhoc committee members.
