The two countries would also cooperate in the training of their staff and technical network.

It was also decided they would celebrate a week, once a year to exclusively telecast the programmes of their bilateral interest.

The MoU was signed in Beijing by PTV Managing Director Akhtar Waqar Azeem and CCTV Chairman Zhao Huayong. The Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Riaz Mohammad Khan, was also present on the occasion.

Talking to APP, Mr Azeem said the MoU would help enhance the interaction between the two countries to project the cultural heritage and common values, and strengthening the bonds of friendship.
