The central committee, which held its meeting here on Saturday and presided over by Dr Abdul Hayee Baloch, reviewed the report of the joint negotiation committee in detail and approved it.

BNM information secretary Dr Ishaq Baloch after the meeting told Dawn that the central committee had decided to hold joint meeting of the negotiation committee on Oct 1, in which a joint communique and organizing committee would be formally announced.

The meeting would also evolve strategy and future line of action for convening council session to announce formal merger of the BNM and BNDP.

The central committee, while reviewing the over all situation in Balochistan, supported the joint struggle of the nationalist parties for the provincial rights.

Mr Baloch said that the meeting appreciated the resolution adopted by the Balochistan Assembly against the proposed plan of establishing new army cantonments in various areas of the province.

The committee appealed to the people of the province to support and participate in the joint public meeting of the nationalist parties on Oct 17 at Gwadar.

The BNM central committee expressed grief over the death of Nawabzada Nasarullah Khan and observed that his death was a great loss for the democracy and politics in the country.
