ABBOTTABAD, Sept 26: A workshop on the role of women councillors in political affairs and decision-making was held here on Thursday.

The workshop was organized by the Aurat Foundation in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank.

Speaking on the occasion District Nazim Col (retd) Mustafa Jadoon said women should cash in on the opportunities provided to them by the local government system.

Others who spoke on the occasion were Naib Nazim Abbottabad district Barrister Javed Abbasi, Consultant Asian Development Bank Amanullah Khan, Tahaira Abdullah, Rikshanda Naaz, Naveed Khan, Syed Jafffar Shah, Sajida Masood, Robina Tariq, Shakira Anwar, Naheed Akhter, Shahida Yasmeen, Yasmeen Tariq and Qaisera Bibi.
