Railways crush Hyderabad

QUETTA, Sept 25: Defending Champion Pakistan Railways, Lahore Colours and Quetta White advanced to the quarterfinals of the 20th National women’s hockey championship after winning their league matches.

The league match being played between Pakistan Railways and Hyderabad at Government Girls College Quetta proved one-sided as defending champion crushed Hyderabad 13-0.

Centre forward Sana opened the account of Pakistan Railway when she scored first goal in the third minute of the first half. Later she scored three more goals. Left-in Ghazala added two more goals in the first half.

The score was 6-0 in the first half.

Pakistan Railways continued attacking Hyderabad in the second half and scored seven more goalsd. Shumaila netted twice while Nasreen, Faiza, Aumtal Aan, Shazia and Razia contributed one goal each.

The second match between Karachi Whites and Lahore Colours ended in a goalless draw.
