HBL-KPT clash ends in tie
KARACHI, Sept 25: The DHA Trophy KCCA inter-firm cricket tournament’s match between Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and Habib Bank Limited Karachi ended in an exciting tie at the UBL Sports Complex Ground on Wednesday.
Batting first, KPT scored 218 for seven in their 40 overs. Atif Ali Zaidi made 71 which included four hits to the fence.
HBL Karachi, in reply, were bowled out for 218 in 30.4 overs despite a hurricane knock of 85 Nadeem Tariq who hammered five sixes and six fours.
Medium-pacer Adeel Malik and leg-spinner Mohammad Ali Zafar claimed three wickets each.
In another match played at the Students Ground, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) defeated Sir Syed University (SSU) by 48 runs.
