Declamation contest held

PESHAWAR, Sept 25: An art and speech contest was held among school students here on Thursday with a view to promoting artistic talent of the younger generation.

The competition was organized by the embassy of Japan in collaboration with the Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association and MEXT-Alumni Association of Japan.

Around 80 students from more than 20 schools took part in the contest. The theme of the art competition was “My image of Japan” and the topic for the speech contest was “My dream about future relationship between Japan and Pakistan”. The participants aged between 12 and 14. The competition was organized to apprise the schoolchildren about the Japan-Pakistan relationship.
