KARACHI, Sept 25: The workers and officials concerned were taken by surprise when city Nazim Naimatullah Khan paid surprise visits on Thursday midnight to different city areas to inspect the ongoing repair and patch-up work on roads damaged by heavy rains.
The Nazim also inspected the carpeting at Shahrah-i-Iraq leading towards the Sindh High Court.
He directed that the pace of work be geared up and warned that there would be no compromise on the question of quality.
He told the engineers and other officers concerned to ensure their presence on their relevant sites during the night time as well. He reiterated that the repair of roads would be completed within two months.
