KARACHI: SSC suppl exams begin on Oct 6

KARACHI, Sept 24: The Board of Secondary Education, on Wednesday, announced that SSC Supplementary Examination-2003 would begin from Oct 6.

In the meantime, the board would accept exam forms of the leftover candidates of SSC supplementary exams from Sept 25 to 27 with a fine of Rs500.

According to the BSE notification, forms would be accepted at board office branch of NBP and Rizvia Society branch of HBL.

ISLAMIAT PAPER: The BSE has notified the marks distribution of Islamiat (Compulsory) Paper of SSC-II (Class X) Science and General groups (regular and private) candidates for SSC annual examination-2004 and onwards.

The new paper will comprise three portions namely Al-Quran, Al-Hadith and Topical Studies. The Al-Quran portion will carry 30 marks, demanding translation and explanation from Surah, while the Al-Hadith portion will carry 15 marks, in which students will be required to translate and explain hadith.

The Topical Studies portion will carry 30 marks. The board has also issued a model question paper, prepared in accordance with the contents of the course, which is available for Rs5 at board office branch of NBP and Rizvia Society branch of HBL.
