KARACHI: Transporter kidnapped

Published September 25, 2003

KARACHI, Sept 24: A transporter was kidnapped along with his time-keeper in the Garden police limits on Wednesday.

Police sources said that the transporter, Haji Iqbal, and his time-keeper were going to office in a car, when some persons intercepted the car and took them away.

On being informed police contacted the Citizen-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) which is now investigating the case. Sources said that no ransom call or any information from the captors had so far been received.

They said it might be a case of kidnapping for ransom or it might be the outcome of an enmity.
