Aqib, Haider score easy victories

LAHORE, Sept 23: All events of the 2nd Lahore City junior squash championship entered the semifinal stage at the Punjab Squash Complex on Tuesday.

In Under-19 contest, Aqib Hanif fought for 26 minutes to beat Farzan Rasheed 9-2, 9-2, 9-2. Haider Jamal carved out win against Atique Butt 9-3, 9-0, 9-0 while Basit Ashfaq emerged victor against Waseem 9-4, 9-0, 9-1 in 17 minutes lasted encounter.

Under-13: Sheikh Saqib beat Aurangzeb 9-4, 9-1, 9-7; Khalil Mehboob bt Babar Ghafoor 9-2, 9-3, 9-0; Noor Ali bt Ahmad Amin 7-9, 7-9, 9- 6, 9-4, 9-4; Owais Rahim bt Mujahid Hussain 9-4, 9-0, 10-8.

Under-16: Nadeem Khan bt Athar Ali 9-4, 9-0, 9-0; Adnan Khan bt Wasif Tufail 9-5, 9-0, 9-0; Shoaib Hassan bt Waqar Rauf 9-1, 9-0, 9-5

Under-19: Shahnawaz got walk over against Naveed; Aqib Hanif bt Farzan Rasheed 9-2, 9-2, 9-2; Haider Jamal bt Atique Butt 9-3, 9-0, 9-0; Basit Ashfaq bt Waseem 9-4, 9-0, 9-1.
