Scientists urged to help boost farm output


PESHAWAR, Sept 23: NWFP Minister for Food, Fazale Rabbani has called for providing all possible facilities to the agriculture scientists in order to achieve high agricultural growth in the country.

He was speaking at the National Executive Symposium on Technology Developed for Commercialization Challenges and Opportunities here. The symposium was organized jointly by the NIFA (which is a subordinate institute of PAEC), EPB, PCSIR and SMEDA.

He said that the government also believed in facilitating scientists particularly in the field of agriculture to make optimum use of their work for the benefit of masses and the national economy.

He also called for bridging the missing link between the researchers and growers for maximum utilization of indigenous scientific achievements.—APP
