DADU, Sept 23: Three passengers were killed and 10 others injured seriously when a Hyderabad-bound coach collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction on the Indus Highway, near Sann town, on Tuesday.

The three passengers were killed on the spot. They were identified as Mohammad Yaqoob, Haji Abdul Mahar, and Jaro Khan Vighio.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Sann in the vehicle of the DCO, Dadu, Aijaz Ahmed Mangi, who happened to arrive there.

The drivers of both the vehicles escaped immediately after the accident.

Police impounded both the vehicles and registered a case against their drivers.

JSQM: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz chairman Basheer Qureshi has said that the establishment has destroyed agriculture and economy of Sindh while the federal government has allocated funds for construction of the controversial water projects which are not acceptable to the people of Sindh.

Talking to journalists at the local press club on Tuesday, he said that the JSQM was supporting the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement on a three-point agenda which included distribution of financial resources among provinces and struggle to stop the construction of the greater Thal canal and the Kalabagh dam.

He alleged that the establishment had dominated the resources of Sindh.
