A large number of students and teachers from various KU faculties visited the fair and purchased books.

Besides the software developed by the students of local varsities, other extracurricular events, including quiz, hacking and programming competitions, were also held during course of the exhibition, participated by a large number of varsity students.

Speaking on the occasion, the organizer, Abdullah, said seminars and lectures were also held during the exhibition to increase the knowledge of students, interested in various fields of information technology.

He maintained that the ACM had over 750 students’ chapters around the globe and one of these was established at KU in 2001. He also felicitated the acting director, HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, Dr Iqbal Chaudhry, for being the chief guest on the occasion.—PPI
