LARKANA, Sept 22: The Pakistan People’s Party (Shaheed Bhutto) central committee, at its meeting held in Garhi Khuda Bukhsh Bhutto on Sunday, expressed concern over the international situation, particularly the US expansionist policies.

The meeting presided over by party chairperson Ghinwa Bhutto observed that the situation was dangerous for South Asia and urged the rulers of Pakistan and India to find out the solutions of the Kashmir problem.

The PPP-SB expressed concern over the fast deteriorating law and order situation in the country and growing disharmony among the provinces.

It condemned the closure of industrial units in the country, saying that in the name of privatization, big units were being given to the selected people at throwaway prices.

The meeting said that the country’s economy was being crippled by importing cheaper items and encouraging their sale while the government kept on increasing power and gas tariff that had added to the miseries of the people.

It opposed the construction of Lyari Expressway and demanded that the government should halt work on the project.

The PPP-SB central committee demanded regular hearings of the Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case in line with a decision of the Sindh High Court.

The meeting was attended by the PPP-SB general secretary Dr Ghulam Hussain, Punjab PPP-SB chief Dr Mubashar Hassan, Meenhon Khan Rind, Abdul Hayee Bangulzai, Seema Rafiq and others.
