GUJRANWALA, Sept 22: Me Benazir Bhutto has expressed her dismay over the support of ruling party aspirant for the Kamoki Nazim’s slot by district PPP president former MNA Abdullah Virk.

Ms Bhutto said nobody would be allowed to violate the party rules and discipline. She asked the Punjab leadership to issue him a charge sheet.

Mr Virk supported Sajjad Ahmad, the brother of provincial Transport Minister Shamshad Ahmad, in the election.

Meanwhile, the Punjab PPP issued a notice to Mr Virk on Monday for violation of party rules and regulations and directed him to submit his reply within next three days. The district PPP organization also criticized him.

Insiders said that Mr Virk went to the residence of the minister and congratulated him on the success of his brother. Later, Sajjad Ahmad went to his residence and thanked him for his support in the election.
