KHAIRPUR: Rally against Hesco staged

KHAIRPUR, Sept 21: The power supply to most parts of the city remained suspended for several hours on Saturday and Friday.

Markets and schools were closed before the time due to the power suspension. Work at government offices was also affected.

Residents took out a procession against the power interruption. They held the Hesco officials responsible for their sufferings.

DETAINEE FREED: The reader of the district and session court, Nisar Ahmed Langah, raided the Ahmedpur police station on Friday and freed an illegally detained man, Khawand Ali Rind.

The action was taken on an application of the brother of Rind before the district and sessions judge that his brother had been illegally detained at the police station.
