Tribesmen demand protection

Published September 20, 2003

QUETTA, Sept 19: The Hazara Democratic Party on Friday asked the government to take measures to ensure the safety of the Hazara tribesmen in the province and said terrorist groups were active against the people of a sect.

Speaking at a protest public meeting at Hussainabad, Hazara Town, the party’s leaders denounced the firing on a passenger bus on the Quetta-Taftan road and demanded that the assailants be apprehended. They alleged that the government was least interested in protecting the Hazara tribesmen.
