ISLAMABAD, Sept 18: National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) conducted the first-ever online test for recruitment of staff for different posts, a spokesman for the Authority said on Thursday.

The spokesman said the test was conducted on September 12 at Nadra Headquarters using a software developed by the Authority’s in-house software department. He said a total of 358 candidates appeared for different posts.

The Authority had given an advertisement in the national dailies inviting applications for the posts of assistant manager, system engineer, database administrator, hardware engineer and system administrator.

In this test, the candidates had to sit across a computer and answer a question. The time remaining to complete the test was constantly displayed, while the candidates had the option to skip a question and come back to it again.

The results were displayed in front of the candidates at the end of the test. The spokesman said in order to give equal opportunity to all the candidates, questions were segregated into easy, medium and difficult categories with each category having different levels.
