LAHORE, Sept 18: A division bench of the Lahore High Court on Thursday summoned the chairman of the Admission Board of Medical Colleges for Sept 23 on a petition seeking admission on quota for disabled people.

Petitioner Mustafa Rehman submitted that he applied for the admission to medical college on quota for disabled people. Twenty-six people applied for admission and the board selected 12 of them, he added.

He contended that three of them have less marks than his but they were admitted by the board.

On a court query, the representative of the board said the petitioner due to severe disability was unable to perform duty as doctor.—APP
