KARACHI, Sept 18: The NWFP government has assured the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) of resolution of the problems faced by the print media, including payment of long outstanding dues and equitable distribution of advertisements of the provincial government, says a press release of the society issued on Thursday.

According to the press release, the executive committee of the APNS met in Peshawar to dicuss the problems faced by member newspapers from the NWFP. The meeting, which was presided over by APNS President Arif Nizami, was also attended by NWFP Information Minister Asif Iqbal.

The provincial minister was apprised of the problems of the print media. He assured the APNS that the NWFP government would sympathetically consider all theproblems and an amicable settlement of the issues would be made.

The executive committee considered the applications for accredition and granted full accredition to Conquest, Karachi, and Adreach Advertising, Islamabad.
