PESHAWAR, Sept 17: Students of the Government College of Technology have demanded of the government to hold inquiry against what they called the corrupt teachers of their college and officials of the technical board.

The students, while protesting against the attitude of the teachers and officials of the college and the technical board at the press club here on Wednesday, alleged that the teachers and the officials of the college were involved in corruption.

“The teachers in collaboration with the officials of the technical board take bribes from the students who had failed in the examination and later declare them successful through the so- called process of re-checking,” said one student, who addressed the protesting colleagues.

The students alleged that the board’s official were taking bribes from the private technical colleges to show their better results and clear their students in the board’s examination despite the fact that many of them remained unsuccessful.
