Two killed in clash

KHAIRPUR, Sept 15: Two persons were killed in an armed clash between two groups of Maitlo and Chandio tribes near Ahmadpur, Kingri taluka, here on Monday night.

Those killed were identified as Badaruddin Chandio and Mohammad Safar Maitlo. Both the groups continued to exchange fire till this report was filed.

The reason behind the clash is said to be an old enmity.

Police raid: A man, Mohammad Rashid Korai, was killed when the police raided the Punhal Khan village, near Razidero, on Monday.

Police raided the village while they were searching for Ayaz Korai and other Korai tribesmen.

The villagers said that the police had opened fire as a result of which Mohammad Rashid Korai was killed.
