2 die in Indian shelling

MUZAFFARABAD, Sept 14: Two people died and six others were injured on Saturday and Sunday in Azad Kashmir along the Line of Control in unrelenting Indian shelling, police said.

Mohammad Mushtaq, 35, died at the Combined Military Hospital Rawalakot after being critically injured in Indian shelling on Sunday.

Khalida, 35, and Sikandar, 34, were also injured in Tetrinot village, but their condition was stated to be out of danger, a police official told Dawn.

In Leepa valley heavy Indian shelling started on Saturday afternoon and continued till late at night killing Mohammad Maqbool, 35, and injuring his brother Manzoor, 30, and Mumtaz Lone, 32, in Nokot village.

In Munda Kali village, Abdur Rashid, 35, and Iram, 18, were injured.
