‘Surplus pool to be abolished’

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Sept 14: The Dera Development Authority’s employees will be provided job protection by abolishing the surplus pool.

This was stated by Yar Muhammad Khan, the press secretary municipalities. DDA employees union president Syed M. Yaqub Shah was also present on this occasion.

The employees union’s president Haji Abdul Qayum and general-secretary Safder Zaman had resigned from their respective posts. The union members called a meeting to fill these vacant posts.

The union’s press secretary told newsmen that some 21 employees of Dera Development Authority’s had been declared surplus.

The newly-elected union president later left for Peshawar to take up the case of these employees with the secretary, municipalities.—APP
