KARACHI: Jobless man commits suicide

KARACHI, Sept 14: A jobless man committed suicide in North Nazimabad on Sunday.

Police said that Mohammad Siddiq, 32, was alone in the house in Block-D of North Nazimabad. Father of a child, Mohammad Siddiq was suffering from depression while his wife was at her parents house on Sunday.

He hanged himself with the help of the telephone wire. The victim’s body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem examination.

SHOT DEAD: A suspected bandit was shot dead by a security guard in Site on Sunday.

According to the police, Mubarak Shah shot dead a suspected bandit, who had barged into an industrial plot in Site. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy while the security guard was detained by the police for questioning.

Police said that the suspected bandit appeared to be a heroin addict.

ACCIDENT: A man died in a road traffic accident in Kalakot on Sunday.

Police said that Sarfraz Husain, 38, was knocked down by a Suzuki pickup (KC-2087) on Mewashah Road. The victim was taken to the Civil Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Following the accident, the errant driver escaped from the spot leaving behind the vehicle.
