KARACHI, Sept 13: Sindh Excise and Taxation Minister Rauf Siddiqui has ordered immediate resumption of vehicles’ verification at the Motor Registration Wing, Civic Centre.

Taking cognizance of problems faced by people in registration and transfer of their vehicles during a surprise visit to the registration wing on Saturday, the minister directed the officials of the wing to improve their performance. He warned them that if he continued to receive complaints, the whole staff of the wing would be transferred away. In case of any complaint about any counter the responsible staff of the counter would be suspended, he added.

The minister warned that strict action would be taken against the officers if any agent was found in the registration office.

He asked people to ensure transfer of their vehicles by Sept 30 as after it vehicles operating on open-letters would be impounded.

The provincial minister went to all floors of the Motor Registration Wing and ordered officials to ensure that people did not face any difficulty in registration and transfer of their vehicles.—PPI
