HYDERABAD, Sept 11: The Left Bank Area Water Board has taken a serious notice of the shortage of water in the area and called for operating perennial and non-perennial canals to save standing crops.
The board, at a meeting at its camp office here on Tuesday, demanded early disbursement of funds provided under directives of the president to revamp the irrigation system.
The meeting also discussed the situation arising out of the installation of unauthorized machines on canals and decided to remove them.
The meeting was presided over by the chairman of the board, Abdul Ghafoor Nizamani.
MUET: The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro has announced three days mid-term-break for students and teachers with effect from 11th to 13th Sept.
The university has announced that the supplementary examinations of various terms of BE/BCRP/BARCH, scheduled to be held on 11th, 12th and 13th Sept have been postponed. These examinations will now be held on 17th, 18th and 19th Sept respectively.
The postgraduate exams of 3rd term 14th batch, which were scheduled for 11th Sept, will now be held from 15th Sept.
