KARACHI, Sept 10: A two-day eighth international seminar on “US-European Relations in the contemporary International Setting: Implications for the Developing World” will begin here at a local hotel on Sept 17.

Besides Pakistan, scholars from Germany, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Italy and India will also participate in the seminar being organized jointly by the Area Study Centre for Europe of Karachi University and the Hanns Seidel Foundation of Germany.

Well-known Palestinian author, Ghada Karmi, will deliver the key note address at the seminar to be presided over by KU vice- chancellor Zafar Saeed Saify. Additional Foreign Secretary Toheed Ahmad will be the chief guest.

The approaches of both Europe and the United States towards Palestinian and Iraqi crisis will be discussed in the seminar.
