Women’s hockey from Sept 22

LAHORE, Sept 9: The 20th NBP national women’s hockey championship will be held at Quetta from Sept 22 to Oct 3

The event will be organised by Balochistan Women Hockey Association on behalf of the Pakistan Hockey Federation Women Wing.

Abida Tanvir has been appointed as tournament director while Shaista Javed and Mrs Toor will act as tournament officers. Fareed Ansari has been named as umpires manager.

The panel of umpires has also been announced which includes Rahat Khan (Lahore), Humaira Masroor (Lahore), Razia Rizvi (Rawalpindi), Zeb-un-Nisa (Lahore), Rubina Nasreen (Lahore), Fouzia (Sukkur), Ghazala Zaheer (Karachi), Shazia Yousaf (Karachi), Ajmal Hameed Butt (Lahore), Muhammad Ali Kurd (Quetta) Muhammad Shahid (Quetta), Syed Naeem Akhtar (Quetta).

At the conclusion of the championship, probables will be selected for finalising national team to take part in the Fatima Jinnah Memorial International Women Hockey Tournament scheduled to be held at Lahore from Dec 24 to 31.
