PCB overlooks interest of fans
LAHORE, Sept 9: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has overlooked the interest of the fans of the game while finalising the itineraries of the home series against Bangladesh and South Africa, as out of total of eight One-day Internationals matches only one will be held on the weekly holiday (Sunday).
Bangladesh is to play five One-day International, at different venues and only
the last match is to be played on a Sunday (Sept 21) at Karachi.
South Africa will play three One-day International, the first on Friday (Sept 26) at Karachi, the second on Monday (Sept 29) at Rawalpindi and the third on Thursday (Oct 2) at Lahore.
Most of the matches on weekly holidays or even day and night matches on the week-end (Saturday) could attract a large crowd to the stadiums.
PCB with its little planning on this aspect has deprived various spectators from international cricket which returned to Pakistan after almost two years.
