Two transporters die in armed clash


SHEIKHUPURA, Sept 9: Two people were killed in an armed clash between transporters in Madar village on Tuesday.

According to reports reaching here, the clash erupted over the issue of boarding passengers at the village wagon stop.

Driver Shabbir died instantly while his colleague, Akram, sustained injuries. Akram’s 60-year-old father, Bashir, died from shock, believing that his son had also died.

Sadar police have registered a case against three people, including police constable Maqsood, Salim, and Naeem Butt, who are at large. — Correspondent
