Lawyers observe black day
SIALKOT, Sept 9: On the appeal of the Punjab Bar Council, the lawyers community observed a ‘black day’ in protest against the police failure to arrest those nominated police officials involved in the Sialkot jail tragedy.
The lawyers wore black armbands and hoisted a black flag at the building of the Sialkot District Bar Association besides boycotting the courts.
They also staged a rally led by DBA president Munawwar Warraich and secretary-general Shamshad Ahmad Bajwa.
