Tanveer, Sarfraz crack centuries

KARACHI, Sept 8: Tanveer Ahmed and Sarfraz Khan cracked fine centuries in their team’s victories in Madar-i- Millat Inter Club Cricket Tournament Sunday.

Tanveer slammed an unbeaten 113 in Rising CC’s (RCC) six wicket success over Orangi Muslim CC (OMCC) at Landhi Friends Ground. Tanveer’s knock was spiced with 12 boundaries.

Sarfraz Khan slammed 112 with ten boundaries as Ghousia CC (GCC) scored an exciting 11 runs victory over MCC New United Ground.

In other match at Airport Stadium, Sharif Memorial CC (SMCC) handed out seven wickets drubbing to Comrade Sports. Arshad Khan hit a match winning 80 with seven hits the boundary.

GCC bt OMCC by 11 runs. GCC 252-9 in 40 overs (Sarfraz Khan 112, Asif Mustufa 64, Daulat Khan 3-25; Fawad Khan 3-50); OMCC 241 all out in 34.3 overs (Kamran Ali 93, Daulat Khan 62; Nomanuddin 3-50, Yasir Mustufa 2-28).

SMCC bt Comrade Sports by seven wickets. Comrade Sports 194 all out 39.2 overs (Kawar Hussain 83, Shahzad 21, Rameez-ur-Rehman 20; M.Zahid 4-28, M.Naeem 2-38); SMCC 195-3 in 30.3 overs (Arshad Khan 80, Ahmed 36, Mehmood Ali 29; Shujauddin 2-36).—APP
