Published September 7, 2003

LAHORE, Sept 6: The Punjab University has developed vegetable farms to provide guidance and information to farmers.

PU vice-chancellor Arshad Mahmood said that university students would use the farms for research while farmers would be provided guidance on to how to increase their agricultural productivity and income.

He said the university was also planning to introduce courses in agricultural managemen. He said migration from rural to urban areas could easily be contained by raising agricultural productivity in rural areas.—Reporter
