HYDERABAD, Sept 6: Twenty-five prisoners convicted for different crimes were shifted to the Hyderabad central prison from the Karachi central prison on Saturday.

The Hyderabad prison chief, Muzaffar Alam Siddiqui, said the prisoners were shifted because of overcrowding in the Karachi prison.

Few days back, an alleged criminal, Janu Arian, was also sent to Hyderabad by the Dadu police.

Arian was recently acquitted in the Hyderabad carnage case by the sixth additional district and sessions judge of Hyderabad but the Sindh government filed an appeal against the verdict.

The student, Bashir Ahmad, had produced the marks certificate of BA with his admission form which was found bogus on verification.
