KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia, Sept 5: Malaysian Lee Chong Wei and Lee Hyun-Il of South Korea beat their more favoured opponents, Bao Chunlai and Kenneth Jonassen, on Friday to face each other in the semifinals of the US$120,000 Malaysia Open.

In the other men’s semifinal to be played Saturday, top seed Chen Hong of China will take on Malaysian Wong Choong Hann.

Lee Chong Wei, one of the fast-improving Malaysian youngsters, beat his Chinese opponent Bao in a thrilling 80-minute marathon.
