Two rocket blasts rock Quetta

QUETTA, Sept 5: The provincial capital was rocked when two rockets exploded in different areas of the city, including the Frontier Corps headquarters, on Friday, police said.

“Two rockets exploded in the city with brief intervals, causing no loss,” a police official told Dawn and added that an unexploded rocket had been seized in a graveyard, from where they were fired.

A rocket landed on the roof of the MT workshop at the Frontier Corps headquarters and exploded, smashing windowpanes in the building.

A portion of the workshop was damaged but the vehicles parked there for repair remained safe.

Another rocket was fired from the same place but its target was not known.

The police patrolling in the area rushed to the graveyard of Killi Ibrahimzai and seized an unexploded rocket with fuse.
