KARACHI, Sept 3: Sindh Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Naeem Ishtiaq wants cricket to be included in the sports policy like all other sports in the country.

He was addressing participants at the concluding programme of A.O Free Summer Coaching Camp at Latifabad No. on Wednesday. He said playing grounds will be developed in Hyderabad and other cities of the province.

He said sports complex and boxing club would soon be built in Hyderabad and announced grant of Rs 1,00,000 for sports activities besides allocating Rs50,000 for developmenmt of Naeem Siddiqui Sports Ground.

He said government was taking all steps to promote the cricket in country so as to provide more playing facilities to youth so that they could illuminate the name of country by playing at international level.

The minister urged that cricket would be promoted at Taluka level so that every youth could benefit from the game and get chance to be selected at national level.—PPI
