Trader slain

SIALKOT, Sept 1: Two unidentified bandits on Sunday night shot dead a trader on resistance during a dacoity in Gunjiyanwali village, Uggoki.

Armed bandits barged into Muneer Hussain’s house, held the family members hostage and started scooping cash and valuables. The intruders shot dead Muneer for offering resistance. Later, the dacoits-cum-killers escaped by firing in the air.

CASE: Motra police have registered a case against an industrial worker for stealing sports designs and important business secrets of a local firm through computer network.

Masood Raza came clean that he had been committing cyber crime since long and was selling the company’s designs and its business secrets to other companies on handsome amount. This is said to be the first cyber crime of its kind in Sialkot.

The accused has been sent behind bars while further investigation is under way.
