HYDERABAD, Aug 31: Thirteen matches were decided in different competitions being played in the Sindh Sports Board Hyderabad Sports Festival 2003 which started on Sunday.

According to results, in men’s volleyball, Taluka Latifabad defeated Taluka Qasimabad by 25-7, 25-14 and 25-15.

In men’s table tennis, Taluka Qasimabad defeated Taluka Hyderabad City by 3-0.

Safwan Hashmi defeated Dr Abdullah 11-2, 11-5 and 11-7, Adnan Hashmi defeated

Atif Bashir 11-2, 11-4 and 11-3 while Adnan Leghari received a walkover from Hafiz Aamir.

Taluka Hyderabad City were also defeated 3-0 by Taluka Latifabad.

Haleem Ahmed defeated Abdullah b 11-7, 11-2 and 11-5, Syed Awais Ahmed defeated Atif Bashir 11-4, 11-6 and 11-5 and Shujat Hussain defeated Hafiz Aamir by 11-5, 11-3 and 11-4.

In men’s Badminton, Taluka Hyderabad City defeated Taluka Latifabad 2-0.

In singles, Rizwan Ahmed defeated Sultan Ahmed 15-5 and 15-8 while in doubles, Rizwan Ahmed and Muhammed Imran defeated Zeeshan Ahmed and Muhammed Shahid by 15-9 and 15-7.

Taluka Latifabad were beaten by Taluka Qasimabad 2-0.

In singles, Zeeshan Leghari defeated Muhammed Shahid 15-0 and 15-6 while in doubles, Zeeshan Leghari and Shams Shaikh defeated Sultan Ahmed and Muhammed Shahid by 15-5 and 15-8.—APP
